01Is community membership free?+
Yes. SURMAI Sakhi and SURMAI Mitra community membership has no joining fee, annual fee or paid renewal.
02Who can join?+
Community membership is open for consideration to residents aged 18–60 years, subject to verification and participation requirements.
03How big is a local group?+
A full group has 50 community members and one Group Coordinator, making 51 participants. Groups may begin with fewer people.
04What is a Family ID?+
The Family ID links members of the same household while every person retains their own Member ID and Welfare Card.
05How does learning work?+
Members follow a 12-month learning cycle with family and neighborhood tasks, local meetings and evidence-based review.
06Where do I apply?+
